Council meetings are held twice a month, the 1st and 3rd Thursday, at 8:00PM in the Barn behind the Parish.
Our council performs a large number of activities throughout the year to assist our parish, youth and community.
Some of our annual Programs and Activities are -
· Youth Basketball Free Throw Championship
· Youth Soccer Challenge
· Essay Contest - with Saving Bond Award
· Communion Mass and Breakfast
· Thanksgiving and Easter Food Basket Distribution
· Memorial Day Mass (Flag Placement and 4th Degree Color Guard at St. Mary Cemetery)
· Tootsie Roll Fund Raiser for Sunrise Cottage and Ability Beyond Disability
· Christmas Crèche Setup; Caroling with St. Mary Life Teen
· After Mass "Get Acquainted" Coffee Socials
· Providing financial assistance to a local Seminarian
Additional activities this past year included volunteering for Dorothy Day Kitchen, teaching CCD, serving as ushers, greeters, lectors and Eucharistic Ministers, filling hours in the Adoration Chapel, participating in Men's Ministry, participating in the Parish Council and Parish Finance Committee, assisting with the Youth Ministry Mission Trip Welcome Dinner, providing Rosaries and Prayer Books for First Communicants, marching in the Memorial Day Parade, constructing a float for the Ridgefield 300th Anniversary Parade, and providing assistance at St. Mary Annual Fair.
And we are planning even more this year…
